about_
Lola Rossi (b. 1995) is an artist working at the intersection of cognitive science, immersive installation, and visual arts. Through sensory devices — installations, live VJ sets, biofeedback experiences — she explores altered states of consciousness within a cyberfeminist framework: trance, free-floating attention, and perceptual feedback loops in which technology does not control but accompanies.
Her projects combine sensors, actuators, and physical processes to create spaces where data does not quantify but transforms. She is committed to reappropriating AI through sensory, embodied experience — building perceptual environments that serve contemplation and expanded consciousness rather than attention capture.
For ten years, she practiced art photography documenting the music scenes of Marseille, Berlin, and London, in an expanded approach accompanied by films akin to chamber cinema. Her work has been supported by institutions including UNESCO, the Centre des Arts d'Enghien-les-Bains, the acces(s) festival, and ZERO1.
She holds a master's degree in digital filmmaking from ARTFX and combines technical expertise — code, 3D, compositing, generative art — with artistic research. She teaches image theory and digital arts in higher education. Her practice is grounded in research-creation, pursued in collaboration with researcher and designer Hugo Scurto (IRCAM) and Dr Audrey Breton (Trance Science Research Center) around altered states of consciousness. Her studio is based at Le 6b in Saint-Denis.
