Lola Rossi (1995) is an artist whose practice lies at the intersection of cognitive science and image-based media — films, installations, and immersive experiences. She explores altered states of consciousness through digital and visual arts, as well as techno-ritual practices. Rather than adopting a dualistic critique of technology, she approaches it as a vector of perception and introspection, within a cyberfeminist framework.
For ten years, she practiced fine art photography, notably documenting the Berlin, London, and French music scenes. She has presented several solo exhibitions within an expanded approach to photography, often accompanied by films belonging to a form of chamber cinema. Her work has been supported by institutions such as UNESCO, the Centre des Arts d’Enghien-les-Bains, The Ballery, and SoHo House.
Holder of a Master’s degree in Visual Effects Engineering from ARTFX, she combines technical expertise (coding, 3D, compositing, radio technologies, generative art) with artistic research. She teaches image theory and digital arts in higher education. Her practice is rooted in a research-creation approach, which she is currently pursuing with researcher and designer Hugo Scurto around *altered states of consciousness*.
